Regular Season Round 20: Ridzene - Brent 76-67

The game had a very big importance for second-ranked LatvianRidzene as it allowed them to take a leadership position. Ridzene defeated 6th ranked British Brent in Riga 76-67 . Brent trailed by 12 points at halftime and as many as 14 after three quarters before a 23-18 last quarter charge cut the deficit to 67-76 at the end of the game. Ridzene outrebounded Brent 63-28 including a 36-7 advantage in offensive rebounds. Forward Alekss Kalnins (198-2008) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 22 points and 16 rebounds. Norberts Aizbalts (-2008) contributed with a double-double by scoring 11 points and 20 rebounds for the winners. Five Ridzene players scored in double figures. Kyran Palmer replied with 24 points and 7 rebounds and Justin Fagbenle added 17 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists in the effort for Brent. Brent's coach rotated eleven players in this game, but that didn't help. Ridzene have a solid four-game winning streak. As mentioned above they are at the top of the standings, which they share with 10 other teams. Brent lost third consecutive game. They dropped to the fourth place with three games lost. They share the position with 20 other teams.
